Who are we & how did we get here?

My name is Jody (bet you could have guessed that, huh?)
My background is sales & marketing, and I really I began selling vintage & collectible goods part-time on eBay only to clear our my own attic & thin some of my own overflowing collections.   I enjoy attending local auctions, flea markets, etc. and researching the vintage goodies, and  thus, the  business developed & expanded.  I have been registered as a business entity - Jodys Attic - with the State of Pennsylvania since 2005.
(also means we have to collect 6% sales tax for sales to PA residents unless you supply us with your tax-exempt ID prior to making your purchase)

I also had a booth at a local antique co-op for awhile, but went back to strictly "online" several years ago and have been selling primarily on eBay and on my old website.  Due to recent changes in eBay's policies, including not allowing sellers to advertise that they will accept checks and money orders, I have decided to expand my own site, have it totally re-designed, and secured new hosting here at BISI.  Here I accept cash, checks, money orders, Int'l money orders (Canada & Japan) & credit cards processed through PayPal & Google Checkout.  Local pick=up items are "cash only".

I will continue to run auctions on eBay & will maintain an eBay store at least for the near future.  (see link to my eBay listings on Home Page)  I have quite a bit of unlisted & recently acquired inventory to list here so if there are any specific collectibles you are looking for, feel free to ask,  I may have it in inventory.   If you do see any of my items listed on eBay, but prefer not to purchase there, let me know & I can move the item here for you.
