Vintage 1979 Set of 4 Figural Shakers Parsley Nutmeg Chili Salt

Vintage 1979 Set of 4 Figural Shakers Parsley Nutmeg Chili Salt
ProductTitle ProductTitle ProductTitle ProductTitle ProductTitle ProductTitle

Cute, and unusual set of 4 large figural ceramic or pottery condiment shakers all marked on the bottoms - Duncan Enterprises 1979.
Sizes vary slightly, but each about 5 1/2" tall.  Features a group of international type ethnic figures marked PARSLEY, GARLIC SALT, CHILI, & NUTMEG.   Am guessing the figures are supposed to be Asian, Latin American, Italian & well, really not too sure where the Parsley girl is supposed to represent.  They appear to be in excellent unused condition & all have their rubber stoppers on the bottom.  Have some weight to them & wide bases (almost 3" across), so definitely won't fall over too easy.  The pottery itself is sort of a bisque or light tan with little specks (almost like nutmeg) mixed in.

Co background - "Mary E
rma Duncan (the founder of Duncan Enterprises) was a talented artist... Her love for artwork began at a very early age, as did her natural ability to share her knowledge.... early 1900's she premiered as an artist in many popular magazines, including the Saturday Evening Post. ...Ceramic glazes then on the market did not meet Erma's expectations, so she began to mix her own in a hobby room at the rear of the family garage. ...and in 1946 after being encouraged by her sons Bob and Dick... Erma started the family owned Duncan Ceramic Products business.  In 1961, the business moved to Fresno, California where the company changed its name from Duncan Ceramic Products to 'Duncan Enterprises' ..."
